Heaven on Earth

Dr. Yee sent me these pictures of the Turf Club with the caption "Heaven on Earth" and so I thought it would be a good post for the blog. I know we are waiting for the floodlights and the air conditioned locker rooms and waiting area but it will have to do as it is now :)

Happy New Year and may the year be healthy, wealthy and wise for all of us! :)

Forgive me for the long absence. Work gets in the way...

Some pictures of last years activities

Lets start off with Anna's Birthday do at the Turf Club

Next we have Cheang's Birthday Do at the club

This is followed by Kenny's Birthday at the Turf Club

We then had a big birthday bash for Kiko, Pinky and Chew Wui, Roslan was also supposed to be there but unfortunately could not join us at the Restaurant.

And just to confirm that we ARE a tennis club after all... we have some pictures of the Match of the Month between Pinky and Ram vs. Richard and Yee. The scores are clear and we have a record of Yee NOT winning :)

We also had the Che Mat and Tony vs. Yee and Ram match which was a highly and hot contested one with Ram and Yee emerging victors although in one picture it doesn't look like it below :)

The Excitement of the game must have been too much for C.C. Tan as he had to be admitted for an operation which was successful and now there is long queue to challenge his No. 1 ranking on court... :) So far he has not taken up the challenge yet...

Following the Match of the month, it is usually the custom to have a dinner for the winners to brag and the losers to drown their sorrows...

And finally to end the year we have our Christmas do at the turf club with generous contributions of wine, whisky and beers as well as turkey, turkey stuffing, salmon, noodles and various others delicious food... It was also the celebration of Dato Guna's birthday and also our guest for the day Richards father Dato Gregory Wong's birthday...

All in all, the year was a good year filled with fun activities and merry making. Hard fought games coupled with hard core drinking and eating. Hopefully this year would be filled with more merriment and more laughter and better games. Have a great Snake year ahead ...
