We started the day by loading glorious carbohydrates! Thank you Kar Weng and Chi Chi for delivering the yummy dim sum early in the morning.
The weather was perfect for tennis and we wasted no time by fielding our top ranked ladies pair to clinch the first point. CC and Ian lived up to their billing by winning 7-6(3). The cartel pair of Kiko and Ram had another challenging match but prevailed 7-6(2). Ram was even seen executing some text book perfect backhand.
Anna and Joey faced immediate resistance and they were 1-5 down. Unperturbed, they worked their charm and narrowed the deficit to level at 5-5. After staging this remarkable comeback, our mixed pair marginally loss in the tie break.
Kenny and the neon capped fella practically had a walk in the park and promptly delivered 6-1. Rosemary and Ram fought valiantly with an inspired ISC pair who needed to catch up on their team's overall score. Shamaine and Teik Lee competed well in their maiden friendly and they were just unlucky on a couple of deuces and break points.
Dr Foo and Dr Yee were clinical in their approach to provide us with an unassailable lead. Dr Yee’s forehand on that morning would have put many tour level players to shame. Foorinka was equally lethal with his fundamentally sound backhand. Joey and Kiko (replaced Cheang) were gracious in defeat during the last unofficial match.
We played a total of 9 matches and the overall score was 5-4 in our favour:
- Anna / Rosemary vs Helen / Dorren 6-1
- CC Tan / Ian vs Ling Nyit Thye / TehSMN 7-6(3)
- Kiko / Ram vs Lee Hah / Dr Hu WS 7-6(2)
- Anna / Joey vs Lee Hah / Adelene 5(6)-6
- Rosemary / Ram vs TehSMN / Dorren 3-6
- Kenny / Wan Kong vs See Cor Loon / Soong Kok Wai 6-1
- Shamaine / Teik Lee vs Angie / Dorren 0-6
- Dr Foo / Dr Yee vs Kam Boon / John Jones 6-3

After we played all the matches, we hosted our guests for lunch and also had Gopi cut his birthday cake. Thank you everyone for spending a lovely Saturday morning with us.
